COACH HUB • CONTROLLED BETA • PHASE 1

From captured game evidence to the next practice

CAPTURE → COACH → PRACTICE → IMPROVE. This guide describes the intended Coach Hub workflow. Some Phase 1 functions remain under acceptance testing.

Before starting

Use a valid protected Send-to-Coach link created by an authorized Scorekeeper device. Links expire after 72 hours. Do not forward access links outside the authorized coaching team or paste tokens into support chats. If access expires, ask the scorekeeper to issue a new link.

Beta safety: Historical development games are controlled tests, not real competition. Their statistics must never become genuine coaching decisions, practice priorities, or improvement measurements.
1

CAPTURE — Scorekeeper records the game

Scorekeeper records plays, shots, rebounds, fouls, substitutions, and game transitions. The frozen Scorekeeper beta should not be changed for Coach Hub testing. Corrected events and controlled fixtures are excluded from genuine analysis.

2

COACH — Review evidence and recommendations

Open Coach Hub using the protected link. Review the game, event count, statistics, and ranked recommendations. Look for an explanation tied to captured numbers. The screen may show AI + EVIDENCE, EVIDENCE FALLBACK, or EVIDENCE ENGINE; these are different modes, not guarantees of generative AI.

The live GPT-4.1 Mini Gateway connection and structured coaching schema passed isolated development tests. The complete protected Coach Hub workflow has not yet passed end-to-end acceptance. If the Gateway is unavailable, evidence-based deterministic recommendations remain the fallback.

3

DECIDE — Coach approves the focus

The coach chooses whether a recommendation matters. Select Accept as Coaching Focus only for verified competition evidence; review or dismiss other suggestions. AI advice is advisory—the coach remains responsible for the decision.

4

PRACTICE — Carry forward an approved focus

Use the accepted focus in Practice Plan. Set a specific practice priority, choose applicable coaching-library work, and verify the practice item has been saved. Refresh or reopen the protected session and check that the focus and plan persist.

5

IMPROVE — Measure in the next real game

After a subsequent genuine competition, compare the relevant measure against the prior game. Record whether the team should continue, adjust, or complete the development focus. Never count a simulated game as the follow-up measurement.

Coach Hub testing checklist

For authorized beta testers: confirm the protected link opens; game evidence is the correct team and game; recommendation explanations match recorded metrics; coach approval is required; focus and practice persist after refresh; and improvement measurement excludes all controlled fixtures.

Development-only AI check: The preview may show TEST BASIC AI ROUTING. It is a protected diagnostic, not a coaching recommendation. Do not interpret its result as an approved focus or enter synthetic statistics into real team records.

If something does not work

Access required/expired: request a new Send-to-Coach link. No evidence: confirm you opened the correct authorized game, and that it was not a controlled fixture. Evidence fallback: the AI service may be unavailable; continue with coach-reviewed evidence. Practice missing: do not repeatedly accept recommendations—report the issue for development acceptance testing.

Do not share tokens, player private information, or screenshots containing protected links when reporting issues.
